This was maybe the first recipe I ever concocted. It’s old. I always marinate my flank steak in this and it would probably be good for all other beef.

Mark’s Marinade

Ingredients

  • 1/2 C Soy sauce
  • 1/2 C Wine vinegar
  • 1/2 Stick butter
  • 1/4 C Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Garlic powder or granulated garlic

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients and heat gently until butter and sugar dissolve.
  2. Cool the mixture.
  3. Marinate meat at least one hour or more.
  4. Use the remainder for basting.
